Song Saa Private Island

Overview

On the untouched Koh Rong Archipelago, two pristine islands lie side by side. They are known locally as Song Saa – Khmer for ‘The Sweethearts’. Cambodia’s first private-island resort is located amidst a string of islands full of virgin rainforests, tropical reefs and glistening white beaches. The resort spans the two islands, connected by a footbridge over a marine reserve established by the resort to protect reefs and marine life.

The resort’s villas were built with sustainable materials and with the deepest respect for the natural environment. At the heart of Song Saa Private Island is the Vista Restaurant and Bar, offering 360-degree ocean views to take full advantage of stunning sunsets and vivid starry nights.

Song Saa’s Sanctuary Spa is inspired by the Buddhist principle of reverence for all beings and aims to follow the tradition of offering blessings to others. Spa products are sustainable, wild harvested and naturally sourced from artisan producers who benefit local communities.

Song Saa Private Island has a simple ‘one price, per villa’ pricing policy. Once guests step foot on Song Saa Private Island, they are free to indulge in everything the resort and its surrounds have to offer, knowing that all the resort’s features are included in the price. The only exceptions to this are motorised water sports, treatments at the Sanctuary Spa, and some on-island excursions.

The protection of the natural environment and the support of local communities are central to Song Saa’s principle of ‘luxury that treads lightly’. The protection of the natural environment and the support of local communities are central to Song Saa’s ethical charter. Guests can participate in the work of the foundation by attending local gardening workshops or art classes for local children led by the Foundation.
