Sher Bagh
Ranthambore, Rajasthan
Evoking all the romance and glamour of a bygone era, SUJÁN Sher Bagh is a luxurious tented safari camp that transports guests to the glamorous 1920’s in India’s most celebrated tiger reserve.
Ranthambhore is perhaps the world’s finest place to observe tigers in their natural habitat, and SUJÁN Sher Bagh is the perfect home base from which to see these incredibly majestic creatures. Located in a lush jungle and surrounded by the ruins of grand ancient palaces and the majestic citadel of Sher Bagh, the camp is a spectacular wildlife haven. It pays tributes to their core values of giving back to nature by remaining small and intimate whilst encompassing the surrounding wilderness.
Designed in campaign-style decor with furnishings reminiscent of King Edward VIII’s celebrated tour of India in 1921, Sher Bagh has seven recently refurbished luxury tents, all kitted out with custom-made textiles and furniture. There are now also three new large suites: one (1) Family ‘Machhli’ Suite, one (1) Royal ‘Sher’ Suite, and one (1) Imperial ‘Raj Bagh’ Suite. Inspired by the classic charm of India’s old-world safari camps, each jungle tent celebrates the beauty of the Indian wilderness, with en-suite bathrooms that feature a brass bathtub and stone shower, and glass and canvas walls that open onto a stunning private veranda overlooking the incredibly lush jungle terrain. The three new specialty suites offer exclusivity and seclusion, being sheltered by ancient trees and built within private walled gardens. Perfect for families or groups looking for a bit more privacy, these luxury accommodations have double bedrooms that are set away from the main tents and come with private heated jacuzzi pools, outdoor fireplaces, and decks with open-air showers and stand-alone tubs.
Sher Bagh’s recent renovation also includes an inviting new cocktail bar, chic library tent, and dining tent with a sprawling deck that looks out over the rolling Ranthambhore hills. There is also a gorgeous swimming pool overlooking the tiger reserve, an in-house lifestyle boutique, a newly renovated SUJÁN spa and treatment rooms, and a gourmet organic kitchen and garden.
SUJÁN Sher Bagh offers a plethora of unforgettable safari excursions in 4×4 jeeps, exploring a habitat that plays host to tigers, leopards, crocodiles, hyenas, wild boar, antelope, and more. An intimate and über-luxurious property, JAWAI offers seven freshly renovated tented “rock” suites and three new specialty suites perfectly suited to larger families and groups looking for more privacy and seclusion. The new “Eden at JAWAI” is a private encampment within the main JAWAI property, and consists of three double bed tented suites, along with a private entrance, exclusive lounge and dining tents, a heated jacuzzi pool, campfire, and large deck with stunning views of the wilderness.

The Serai

Set on a 100-acre private estate in the Thar desert just far enough removed from the buzz of urban life, SUJÁN The Serai is the perfect home base from which to explore mystical Jaisalmer and its famed 12th century “Golden Fortress,” which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Serai’s immaculate white tents stand in stunning contrast to the gold-hued desert surroundings, providing an elegant sanctuary of rest and relaxation and encapsulating the true spirit of exotic Jaisalmer. With a simple, contemporary-chic design and walls carved in sandstone by local craftsmen, The Serai’s main focal point is the sleek and minimalist pool, whose cool, placid waters provide a perfect respite from the desert heat.
