SUJÁN The Serai

Set on a private estate of indigenous desert, SUJÁN The Serai is a place to venture into the mystical environs of Jaisalmer, discovering its fabled, 12th century “Golden Fortress” (now a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and experiencing a reimagined version of Rajputana’s legendary royal caravan sites. The resort’s 21 majestic guest tents share a contemporary, elegant design language with locally woven textiles, private verandas, sunken garden pools (that can be heated at candlelit at your request) and even a butler should you choose the Royal Tented Suite. The camp also features a heated pool, outdoor cinema, yoga and games deck, and an organic kitchen garden, farm and dairy that provides homegrown ingredients for its ever-changing menus. A treatment at the SUJÁN Spa is not to be skipped with cleansing rituals using the desert’s healing herbs. The rustic cuisine served within the atmospheric dining tent (or in the organic garden as is the case with the classic Jaisalmer breakfast) is based on the traditional Indian bush cooking with mouthwatering dishes prepared on the fire or underground on hot coals. The rest of your evenings at SUJÁN The Serai will be spent under the vast expanse of the desert sky, decorated by the stars and the echoes of folk songs have enchanted these dunes for centuries.

The Serai’s 21 tents are a pleasing medley of styles. Each canvas tent is raised on honeyed sandstone and comes with its own terrace lounge looking out into the safari. Filled with natural light and dressed with stylish interiors - all carefully selected from local artisans.
