Overview
Along five olive tree-dotted acres with stunning sea views lies Kālesma – a peaceful enclave that pays homage to the natural beauty of sun-kissed Mykonos. While this Greek Cycladic Isle is known for its St. Tropez-meets-Ibiza scene on the mainland, Kālesma epitomizes tranquility with an authentic Greek hospitality where Aegean tranquility intertwines with a "Dionysian fiesta” to create the most unforgettable guest experience. There’s even a bijou chapel for those who wish to take their nuptials to the island. There are 25 one-bedroom suites as well as a three- and four-bedroom villa named Apollo and Artemis (that can in fact be combined to form the seven-bedroom Leto villa), each with interiors that celebrate the bucolic, bay-side setting. Designed by Greek architectural firm K-Studio and with interiors by Vangelis Bonios, its aesthetic mirrors Mykonos’ iconic white-washed walls and pink bougainvilleas with an infinity pool made for sun-lazing bedside. The brainchild of the seasoned hospitality gurus behind Athenian hotspots Sea Spice, Pere and Ubu, the resort is gifted with delectable dining options at its al fresco restaurant, Pere Ubu, which specializes in modern Greek cuisine. Otherwise, sail along the island’s cerulean waters to uncover its secret coves, explore the cobbled alleys of Mykonos Town, and discover landmarks such as Little Venice and the iconic ancient Windmills before returning to Kālesma’s rejuvenating wellness center.Accommodations
Kālesma offers 13 one-bedroom suites and 12 one-bedroom villas with outdoor pools and lounge chaises. Paying tribute to its bucolic surroundings, the white-washed buildings and light-filled interiors are accented with natural materials and thatched or beamed ceilings. The one-bedroom villas also feature a private courtyard with a beautiful pergola to entertain. There is also an outdoor bbq and a private butler, chef, and waiter upon request for an additional charge. For those seeking more space, there is a three-bedroom Apollon villa and a four-bedroom Artemis villa, which interconnect with each other to form the Leto villa. Each villa has an open-plan living room, a private fitness area and an outdoor living space with a heated swimming pool that overlooks the sea. The villas can be interconnected. For travelers looking to entertain including private events, the villas come equipped with a fully stocked kitchen, a wine cooler and a dining area. A Villa Manager is on hand to assist with all arrangements.
