Tucked away in the stunning Taylor Canyon where gold mining and ranching boomed in the 1800s, Taylor River Lodge is a unique property steeped in history. What was once a general store used for fishing and tackle is now a luxury base from which to experience the canyon’s famed whitewater rafting, trout fishing, or a multitude of other outdoor activities. Perfect for a take over, the lodge boasts six cabin queen-bedded suites plus two single family homes with two king bedded suites with a bunkroom (one family home is equipped with a full kitchen). The summer months in Almont, Colorado are just as impressive, filled with abundant rolling meadows dotted with colorful wild flowers and lush natural scenery. The lodge is open all year and prides itself on being an immersive camp for the well-heeled traveler, and indeed it has everything an avid adventurer would want: teepees, archery, game rooms, a stunning riverfront lounge, farm-to-table dining, and of course, s’mores around the roaring fire.
