Located in the mountainous, isolated Troll Peninsula in Northern Iceland, it truly does not get more off-the-grid than the Fljot Valley. This incredibly isolated and remote area of Iceland is a home base for some spectacular outdoor adventures like skiing, kayaking, heli-skiing, horseback riding, and of course, viewing the awe-inspiring Aurora Borealis.Set on a converted sheep farm, Deplar Farm blends perfectly into the wild landscape with its black timber and living roof. Boasting 13 suites, Deplar Farm can accommodate up to 32 people. The stunning floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the property open up the space and allow for a truly incredible viewing of the famed multi-colored glowing night skies. While the location is remote, it is perfectly situated for adventurous travelers interested in heli-skiing or salmon fly fishing.
Accommodations
Deplar Farm offers 13 bedrooms. Five suites have king beds, four have king beds with queen sleeping lofts and balconies. There are also two suites with queen beds, one suite with a king bed and lofted lounge, and one bunk room with four double beds. The property is 28,000 square feet and can cater up to 32 people.
