OverviewPerched high in the hilltops overlooking the idyllic landscapes of the coveted golden triangle of Mont Ventoux, Dentelles de Montmirail and the Luberon, Hôtel Crillon le Brave is the quintessential tranquil Provençal retreat set in the heart of Vaucluse. Just 25 miles northeast of Avignon, the medieval village of Crillon le Brave dates back to Roman times and was once home to a line of Dukes and Brave Crillon, a beloved general of Henri IV. Today, the nine charming 17th-and-18th century buildings form a labyrinth of secret passageways leading to breathtaking panoramic views. Reimagined by Maison Pariente, a French family-owned collection of bespoke properties in France with a deeply personal connection to the region, the hotel is restored to its prime preserving its original Crillon stonework and boasting 18 suites and 15 rooms accented with traditional Genoise tiling surrounding intimate courtyards with cypress tree and hundred-year-old olive trees. An ideal base to explore the beauty of Provence: head out to markets to gather seasonal ingredients for a cooking class, bike to small medieval villages, visit fragrant lavender fields, explore artist workshops, have a romantic picnic among vineyards and olive groves, wine taste at sought-out Côtes-du-Rhône vineyards from Beaumes-de Venise to Châteauneuf-du-Pape, hunt for black truffles in the autumn, or seek refuge at the Spa des Ecuries with rejuvenating with treatments using Provençal herbs and essential lavender oils. Savor fresh Provençal inspired dishes al fresco on the terrace at La Table du Ventoux or indulge in Chef Anissa Boulesteix's Mediterranean-inspired meals at Restaurant La Madeleine. Enjoy life’s simple pleasures and reconnect in an exquisitely authentic natural setting at Hôtel Crillon le Brave, a member of Relais & Châteaux.
AccommodationsDesigned by French interior designer, Charles Zana, and Elias Guenoun Architecture, the interiors of Crillon le Brave celebrate village's interconnected spirit and Provençal ancient history.
