For international guests arriving by plane: fly to Santiago de Chile International Airport (an 8-10 hour flight from the US), then fly to Puerto Montt (1h 45m flight), then fly to Nuevo Chaitén Airport (35m flight) then it is approximately a 3-hour drive to Rio Palena Lodge. For those chartering a plane, you can charter a Cessna Grand Caravan from Puerto Montt Airport to Alto Palena Airfield (1h 15m flight), then it is a 20-minute drive to Rio Palena Lodge.
